St. Kuriakose Elias

Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (C.M.I.), born in 5 February 1805 and died on 3 January 1871. He was an Indian Catholic Priest and Social Reformer. He is the first Canonised Catholic male saint of Indian origin and belongs to the Syro-Malabar Church. He was canonized on 23 November, 2014. His feast day is observed on 18 February.
